- In the Talas region, the bean harvest this year amounted to 70.8 thousand tons, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In order to support local farmers and ensure price stability for beans, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated 100 million soms to OJSC "Kyrgyz Agrohholding" for the purchase of this product. Beans are being purchased at a price of 95 soms per kilogram, which is higher than that of other buyers who offer 92 soms per kilogram.

This initiative is aimed at assisting agricultural producers in the Talas region, stabilizing market prices, and promoting the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex.

In 2023, the area allocated for beans was 53.6 thousand hectares, while the total harvest reached 72.3 thousand tons.

For the next year, in 2024, the sowing area for beans decreased to 53.2 thousand hectares; however, the total harvest increased to 82.5 thousand tons, resulting in an average yield of 18.4 centners per hectare.

In 2025, the sowing area increased to 55.8 thousand hectares, and the total harvest amounted to 84.2 thousand tons, while the average yield fell to 15.7 centners per hectare.

Thus, claims by certain individuals regarding the existence of more than 100 thousand tons of unsold beans and that the price per kilogram does not exceed 60 soms are inaccurate.

Currently, in the Talas region, beans are sold at the following prices:

“Early” — 155–160 soms,

“Shovel” — 95 soms,

“Tomato” — 92 soms.
