Over the past five years, Kyrgyzstan has witnessed significant growth in the industrial sector, particularly in processing industries, including petroleum products, pharmaceuticals, and plastic products. These changes are supported by statistical data.

For instance, in 2023, the production volume of refined petroleum products increased by 1.6 times compared to 2019, and compared to 2022, this growth was an impressive 1.9 times.

The pharmaceutical industry also shows positive dynamics. In 2024, the production of pharmaceutical goods increased by 1.8 times compared to 2020, and relative to 2023, it grew by 21.7%.

The most significant increase in production volume over the past five years has been observed in the segments of rubber and plastic products, as well as in the production of other non-metallic mineral goods. In 2024, this sector showed growth of 2.2 times compared to 2020, and compared to 2023, the increase was 10.8%.

However, it is worth noting that the production of basic metals and finished metal products changed only slightly during the period from 2020 to 2024. In 2024, the output exceeded the 2020 figures by just 3.3%. At the same time, compared to 2023, there is a decrease of 3.6%. This decline is associated with a reduction in the production of precious metals, which amounted to a 5.3% decrease year-on-year.
