On January 21-22, a seminar was held at the Ministry of Education dedicated to the program "Improving Access and Quality of Inclusive Educational Opportunities for All Children in the Kyrgyz Republic."

Key figures such as the Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, her deputies Nadira Jusupbekova and Albert Makmetkulov, as well as Anna Dautovich, Deputy Representative of UNICEF in Kyrgyzstan, and representatives of various partner and subordinate organizations participated in this event.

Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva emphasized the need for the educational system to transition from a formal approach to a results-oriented model, where the interests and safety of children are paramount. She noted that for the sustainable development of inclusive education, it is crucial to ensure quality training for educators, strengthen methodological support, and implement measures to prevent violence and uphold ethical standards in the educational environment.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of creating an effective system of professional support and protection for teachers.

During the seminar, two priority areas were identified: the creation of inclusive educational materials and the training of teaching staff. It is expected that quality educational materials will be available for about 500,000 students in preschool and general educational institutions.

Additionally, it was reported that over 11,000 teachers will be able to undergo additional training to implement a competency-based approach in the educational process. Discussions also addressed measures for the development of inclusive education and the creation of a national policy document in this area.
