At a seminar organized for private veterinarians, insemination technicians, pasture specialists, and breeding farm managers, Zhanibek Kerimaliev, the First Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, emphasized important reforms in the livestock sector. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Zhanibek Kerimaliev noted that to improve the breed characteristics of livestock, the government allocated 60.8 million soms for the purchase of 270,000 doses of high-quality breeding material from Russia and Switzerland. In addition, 160 sets of artificial insemination equipment were provided to the regions.

To support breeding farms, preferential loans at 3% per annum are also available through Aiyl Bank and the People's Bank. To date, 186 entities in the livestock sector have received official breeding status, and state-owned lands are being transferred to them without auction, simplifying the process of forage procurement.

.

Significant progress is being observed in the area of pasture improvement: from 2023 to 2025, more than 25,000 hectares of pasture lands will be sown, and 823.3 hectares will be fenced for restoration. Fees for the use of pastures are also showing steady growth. These measures to improve pastures and their "rest" significantly strengthen the forage base of livestock farming and contribute to increased productivity in this sector.
