According to information provided by the Land and Water Resources Control Service under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, there has been an increase in cases of illegal use of agricultural land in the country.
It has been noted that there have been more frequent instances of unauthorized importation of sand and gravel mixtures onto pastures and fields, as well as unauthorized construction and deliberate damage to the fertile layer of soil.
The Ministry emphasized that such actions are serious violations of the Land Code and may result in significant financial penalties. In particular, according to calculations:
- the restoration of 1 hectare of pasture may cost violators up to 930 thousand soms;
- the restoration of 1 hectare of arable land — up to 8.5 million soms.
Furthermore, those responsible will be required to restore the damaged land at their own expense.
The agency urged both citizens and entrepreneurs to strictly adhere to the laws and reminded that land resources are a national treasure that requires careful treatment.
