
According to information provided by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, since the beginning of the current year, the volume of the banks' credit portfolio has increased by 40.2%, reaching 477.7 billion soms.
The financial regulator also reported that the assets of the banking sector grew by 38%, reaching 1,125.2 billion soms. The customer deposit base showed a growth of 35%, amounting to 800 billion soms.
In addition, the volume of financing carried out according to Islamic principles demonstrated an impressive growth of 91.5%, totaling 17.3 billion soms.
As of October 31 of the current year, there are 21 commercial banks and 306 of their branches operating in the country.
