The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the completion of voting abroad in the elections to the State Duma.
According to the agency, the number of voters and open polling stations in the overseas elections has reached a record high. This year, 100 polling stations were opened in 89 cities across 34 countries.
Due to time zone differences, voting concluded at different times. All polling stations closed on December 1 at 10:00 Bishkek time, with the last to finish being the stations in Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington, New York, and finally, San Francisco.
The voter turnout in these elections significantly increased compared to the parliamentary elections of 2021, when only 9,826 people voted. The voting process was conducted without violations, in a calm atmosphere, and in accordance with the law.
The coordination of the overseas polling stations was carried out around the clock by the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which allowed for a quick response to citizens' inquiries and ensured the stable operation of all electoral commissions.
The Ministry expresses its gratitude to compatriots for their active participation in the elections and fulfilling their civic duty, as well as to the members of the precinct commissions and staff of foreign institutions for their responsibility and diligent work in organizing the electoral process abroad.
