The adoption of the resolution to implement national driver's licenses in a new format was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev. These licenses will be valid starting from 2025.
The old driver's licenses, which were introduced in 2019, will continue to be issued until the remaining blanks are used up. After that, the process of issuing new licenses will begin.
The state institution "Kyzmat," which is subordinate to the Presidential Administration, will be responsible for the personalization of the new driver's licenses.
Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been tasked with notifying international organizations and other countries about the transition to the new driver's licenses.
The description and sample of the new format driver's licenses have also been approved.
