The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaiev met with Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, as well as with the heads of governments and delegations of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), as reported by the press service of the Cabinet.
The meeting opened with a welcoming speech from the President of Russia.
“Our common goal is to strengthen the authority and influence of the SCO as one of the main regional associations in Eurasia and the world. It is important for governments to actively participate in the practical implementation of this process, expanding cooperation between the member states of the organization,” emphasized Vladimir Putin.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, the Secretary-General of the SCO Nurlan Ermekbaev, and the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda, who will soon take over the chairmanship of the Council of Heads of Governments of the SCO, also spoke.
The participants of the meeting exchanged views on current issues related to the regional agenda.
