Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration, met with Nurlan Ermekbaev, the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), during the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of SCO member states.
During the conversation, as reported by the Cabinet of Ministers, important issues of cooperation within the SCO were discussed. Special attention was paid to preparations for the upcoming summit of the organization, which will be held in 2026 in Bishkek, under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic. Plans for the anniversary events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the SCO were also discussed.
Kasymaliev emphasized a number of initiatives of the Kyrgyz Republic aimed at developing financial cooperation within the SCO.
Nurlan Ermekbaev, in turn, expressed high appreciation for the active role of Kyrgyzstan in the organization and confirmed the readiness of the SCO Secretariat to provide comprehensive support in the preparation and conduct of the planned events during Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship.
