During a working breakfast held in Bishkek, Adylbek Kasymaliev, the head of the government of the Kyrgyz Republic, met with Bundestag deputies representing the "Germany - Central Asia" Friendship Group. This information was confirmed by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Various issues aimed at deepening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Germany were discussed at the meeting.
Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of relations with the Federal Republic of Germany, viewing it as a key partner in Europe and the European Union. He noted the existing constructive political dialogue and the development of long-term economic projects, highlighting the mutual desire for stability and progress.
"Germany was the first among European countries to initiate dialogue in the 'Central Asia+' format. After two 'Central Asia + Germany' summits, cooperation between Germany and Central Asia has reached a new level," the Prime Minister added.
Discussing the economic situation, Kasymaliev reported on the modernization of Kyrgyzstan's economy. The average annual GDP growth rate over the past three years has been at least 9%, and from January to July 2025, growth reached 11.7%, which is one of the best indicators in the region.
He also emphasized the need to create favorable conditions for investors through the simplification of administrative procedures, modernization of the tax system, and implementation of digital technologies. Priorities in cooperation included the modernization of the agro-industrial complex, infrastructure development, export diversification, and increasing investment attractiveness.
The topic of inter-parliamentary cooperation was also discussed during the meeting. Kasymaliev noted the visits of the Bundestag delegation to Bishkek in 2023 and 2024 as an important step towards strengthening trust between the countries.
In conclusion, the Prime Minister emphasized that the work of the "Germany - Central Asia" Friendship Group plays a significant role in enhancing understanding of the region's role and the importance of cooperation with Central Asia in the Bundestag, as well as in forming sustainable socio-political ties and implementing joint initiatives.
As a result of the discussions, the parties expressed their readiness to expand exchanges, discuss reforms, and strengthen cooperation in all areas of bilateral collaboration.
