This project includes a railway route of 304.94 km, passing through Torugart, Arpa, Kosh-Dobo, Makmal, and Jalal-Abad.
On the section from Torugart to Makmal (160 km), a gauge of 1,435 mm is planned, while from Makmal to Jalal-Abad (145 km) — 1,520 mm. In the area of Makmal, the construction of a transshipment station and a logistics center is also planned.
Currently, the project involves 5,695 units of equipment and more than 5,000 workers. The construction works cover 18 tunnels out of 29 planned, 17 bridges out of 50, and 28 culverts out of 602.
