Currently, OJSC "Kyrgyzkomur" holds a license for the exploration of an area of 557.6 hectares in the "Torugart-1" coal deposit, located in the At-Bashinsky district. Coal presence has already been confirmed over an area of 25 hectares, with a total reserve estimated at 423.4 thousand tons. About 10 thousand tons of coal fuel have been extracted here.
