
Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, visited the construction site of the tunnel on the strategic railway "China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan," located in Tash-Kutchu. This was reported by the government press service.
During the visit, he was provided with information about the current state of construction work on this important infrastructure project.


Main characteristics of the project
- The railway "China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan" runs through the territory of Kyrgyzstan from Torugart to Jalal-Abad, covering a total length of 304.94 kilometers.
- On the section from Torugart to Makmal (160 kilometers), a track width of 1435 millimeters is used, while on the segment from Makmal to Jalal-Abad (145 kilometers) it is 1520 millimeters.
- A transshipment station is planned to be built in the Makmal area, and possibly a large logistics center.
- Currently, work has begun on 18 out of 29 planned tunnels. Construction is also underway for 17 bridges out of 50 and 28 culverts out of 602.



More than 5,000 people and 5,695 units of equipment are involved in the construction work.
Kasymaliev emphasized the need for high-quality execution of this strategically important project.
