Francis Ngannou reacted to Dana White's comments, who claims that the former UFC champion pushed him.
“We shouldn’t have gone down this path… I’m upset about how everything has unfolded. That’s it.
I’m sure he has plenty of cameras, so show the footage. I’m just tired of all this. I saw the news and scrolled past,” Ngannou said.
In January 2023, Ngannou left the UFC without renewing his contract. His last fight in the organization took place in January 2022, where he defeated Ciryl Gane in a title match.
Earlier, Dana White shared his impressions of Ngannou's demands while he was in the UFC.
“Ngannou is a bad guy, not a good person. When someone shows their true face, believe them. This guy has already proven it. He had a fight with Stipe Miocic in Boston [in January 2018, where Miocic won by unanimous decision]. He was confident that he would win against Stipe.
After the press conference, we were walking down the hallway, and he approached me, grabbing my shoulder. Damn, his English is top-notch, no language barrier. He said, ‘When the fight is over, you’ll arrange a private jet for me to Paris.’ I laughed at first: ‘Yeah, sure.’ But he repeated, ‘I’m not joking. You’ll get me a plane to Paris.’
In the end, Miocic knocked everything out of him. That ended our conversation. I should have fired him that same day,” White shared.
