Daut Poltushev Won Gold at the Asian Cup in Tajikistan

At the Asian Judo Cup for juniors, which took place on November 22-23 in Dushanbe, the athlete from Kyrgyzstan, Daut Poltushev, won first place.

Poltushev competed in the weight category up to 100 kg, starting his journey from the quarterfinals.

In his first match, he defeated Emomali Kurbonov from Tajikistan, after which he overcame another local athlete, Shohrukh Umarov.

In the decisive bout, Daut faced off against the Kazakhstani Arystan Ulsaitov, whom he also defeated, winning the gold medal.

In the women's competition in the weight category up to 70 kg, there were only two athletes. Kyrgyzstan was represented by Aysuluu Begmamat kyzy, who won against Gulasal Oblokulova from Uzbekistan and also became the holder of the gold medal.

Aktilek Kultaev (up to 81 kg) and Zhibek Omurzakova (up to 63 kg) were unable to win medals at this tournament.
