Abdumalik Karachov, representing Kyrgyzstan, won a gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games held in 2025 in Saudi Arabia.

Karachov's performances began on November 20 in the 57 kg weight category in freestyle wrestling.

He started his journey in the quarterfinals, where he managed to defeat Gulomjon Abdullaev from Uzbekistan, who is a bronze medalist of the 2024 Olympics and the 2025 World Championship.

In the semifinals, Abdumalik quickly dealt with the wrestler from Guinea, pinning him in just 48 seconds, which secured his place in the final.

In the decisive match, Karachov faced an athlete from Azerbaijan and achieved a confident victory, winning the coveted gold medal.

This achievement marked the second gold for Kyrgyzstan at this Islamic Solidarity Games, following Akjol Mahmudov's victory.
