Aiperi Medet kyzy won a gold medal at the Islamic Games

The athlete from Kyrgyzstan, Aiperi Medet kyzy, won a gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games held in Saudi Arabia.

The competitions took place on November 20 in the weight category up to 76 kg.

Aiperi began her journey in the quarterfinals, where she confidently defeated the bronze medalist of the 2016 Rio Olympics, Kazakh athlete Elmira Syzdykova, with an impressive score of 10:0.

In the semifinals, she showcased excellent skills and managed to pin her opponent from Turkey, securing her place in the finals.

In the decisive match for gold, the Kyrgyzstani athlete achieved a premature victory over the representative from Nigeria, taking first place.

This medal became the fourth for Kyrgyzstan at the current Games.
