Aruuke Kadyrbek kyzy, representing Kyrgyzstan, won a bronze medal at the Islamic Games, competing in the freestyle wrestling category up to 53 kg.
In the match for third place, she confidently defeated her opponent from Indonesia. Earlier, in the first rounds, Aruuke managed to win against a wrestler from Azerbaijan, but in the semifinals, she suffered a defeat from an athlete from Uzbekistan, which led her to the consolation final.
Other athletes from Kyrgyzstan were unable to win medals that day. Sezim Jumanaazarova lost in the bronze match to the Algerian wrestler Tekuk Achuak Jamila, and Greco-Roman wrestler Roman Kim also could not secure third place.
Thus, Aruuke's bronze medal added another award to the Kyrgyzstan national team's collection at the Islamic Games and contributed to strengthening the team's position in the overall standings.
