Meerim Jumaanazarova won gold at the Islamic Games

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Meerim Jumaanazarova won a gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games held in Saudi Arabia.

In her performance on November 20, she competed in the under 68 kg category, starting from the quarterfinals.

At this stage, Meerim managed to secure a confident victory over a representative from Bangladesh, and then over an athlete from Azerbaijan, finishing the match early.

In the decisive match, the Kyrgyzstani faced Svetlana Oknazarova from Uzbekistan, also achieving an early victory and thus winning the gold.

This medal became the third for Kyrgyzstan at the current Games.

Previously, Akjol Makhmudov and AbduMalik Karachov reached the highest step of the podium.
