Abdumalik Karachov reached the final of the Islamic Games

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Abdumalik Karachov has reached the final of the Islamic Games taking place in Saudi Arabia.

Our athlete competes in the under 57 kg category and began his journey from the quarterfinals.

In his first match, he won against Gulomjon Abdullaev from Uzbekistan, a bronze medalist of the 2024 Olympics and the 2025 World Championship, with a score of 10:2. Next, in just 48 seconds, Karachov defeated the wrestler from Guinea, Mohamed Ismail Kamara, pinning him to the mat.

Now the Kyrgyzstani is preparing for the final match against a representative from Azerbaijan.

The final bouts will begin at 20:30 Bishkek time.

Additionally, other Kyrgyz athletes have also reached the finals: Meerim Jumanzarova and Aiperi Medet kyzy, while Bilol Sharip uulu will continue to fight for the bronze medal.
