Gold of Meerim Jumanzarova at the Islamic Games

Kyrgyzstan's Meerim Jumaanazarova won gold at the Islamic Solidarity Games held in Saudi Arabia.

The competitions took place on November 20, where Meerim competed in the weight category up to 68 kg, starting from the quarterfinals.

In her first match, she defeated a representative from Bangladesh, and then won prematurely against an athlete from Azerbaijan.

In the final, the Kyrgyzstani faced Uzbek wrestler Svetlana Oknazarova, also winning and securing the gold medal.

This award became the third for Kyrgyzstan at the current Games.

Previously, gold medals were won by Akjol Mahmudov and Abdumalik Karachov.
