The competitions in the weight category up to 76 kg took place on November 20.
The first stage for the Kyrgyzstani athlete began in the quarterfinals, where she confidently defeated the bronze medalist of the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Elmira Syzdykova from Kazakhstan, with a score of 10:0.
In the semifinals, Medet kyzy demonstrated excellent technique, overcoming an athlete from Turkey and advancing to the finals.
In the decisive match for gold, she once again showed outstanding results, winning early against her opponent from Nigeria and taking first place.
This medal became the fourth for Kyrgyzstan at the current Games.
