During the meeting, a draft law was approved that proposes the restoration of the recidivism institution. Deputy Abdylldabek Egemberdiev raised the issue that the project stipulates that inmates with special recidivism will be sent to special regime facilities. He also expressed concern about the ability of the Penal Correction Service to accommodate all such inmates, considering that there is only one facility of this type operating in the country.
Sarchayev added that if this law is adopted, inmates will remain in the facilities until the established limit is reached. In case of overcrowding, the possibility of constructing a new building will be considered.
