The currency market largely reacts to the increase in export revenues, as noted by the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Azat Kozubekov during a press conference held today, January 27. He emphasized that it does not matter to the currency sector which specific goods are being exported — whether it is gold, agricultural products, or industrial goods.
Kozubekov also noted that the growth in export volumes generally contributes to the strengthening of the national currency and enhances Kyrgyzstan's attractiveness for investors. However, he added that foreign trade is just one of the aspects influencing the current macroeconomic situation in the country.
According to him, despite the positive trends in the international economy, there are also external challenges that continue to affect the economic situation in the Kyrgyz Republic.
