In connection with the above, the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek initiated a criminal case under Article 278 (Calls for Mass Riots) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. As a result of operational-search activities, the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State National Security Committee were able to identify the owner of the fake account — journalist A.A., born in 1976, and detain her.
The publications and comments made by A.A. through the specified account on Facebook were subjected to verification in accordance with legislative norms, and necessary examinations were appointed.
During a search at A.A.'s residence on March 10, 2026, various technical devices and items that may be important for the investigation were seized, such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops, a video camera, and documents.
On March 11, 2026, A.A. was placed in the temporary detention center of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek. The investigation is currently ongoing.
