
During the conversation, the prospects for developing cooperation in motorboating and the possibility of organizing UIM competitions in Kyrgyzstan were discussed.
Japarov noted that the UIM's readiness to hold the world championship in the country is an important step. He emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is actively developing international ties in the fields of sports, tourism, and hosting major events.
The president added that there are two international airports operating in the Issyk-Kul region, in Karakol and Tamchy, which welcome tourists. Additionally, five-star and seven-star hotels are being built along the lake's shore.
Raffaele Chiulli, for his part, spoke about the World Cup, which is an international festival of motorboating. Its program includes world championships in F1H2O boat racing, as well as demonstrations of jet skiing, moto surfing, and hydro-flying.
He noted that similar competitions have been held previously in countries such as China, the UAE, Qatar, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam. Race broadcasts are available in more than 86 countries, with a total audience exceeding 900 million viewers.
As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed confidence that holding the UIM F1H2O World Cup on water in Central Asia would be an excellent opportunity to showcase the tourism potential of Issyk-Kul and would contribute to promoting Kyrgyzstan's image on the international stage.
