Azamat Baizakov, who is 30 years old, along with his father Battal, creates bows capable of hitting a target at a distance of up to 200 meters.

In an interview with Turmush, Azamat shared that initially they sourced materials for their products in the mountainous area, finding bones and horns of ibexes that had been left abandoned. Each bow takes up to a month to make, after which it undergoes quality control before being handed over to the customer. “My father has been making bows for 13 years and has experimented a lot. At first, an arrow could only fly 30 meters, but with experience, we learned to achieve distances of 100, 150, and even 200 meters. Personally, I found this interesting, and my father began to teach me. The price of the bows is determined by the labor intensity of the process. It takes a lot of time. We travel to the mountainous area in search of raw materials, divide them into parts, and use a machine to form the desired shape. In this process, a significant part of the work is done by my father. Recently, our products have attracted the attention of customers from Arab countries, and we also receive orders from Russia, Chechnya, and Kazakhstan,” the master said.

With the funds obtained from the sale of bows, Azamat's family opened a fish farming business. Their future plans include building small houses made of lightweight structures near the water body to develop tourism. “We do not limit ourselves to just bow production. From the leftover materials, we make kamchi (whips). Over 8 years, we have accumulated funds and created a farm on an area of 1.5 hectares with a pond. In the future, we want to open an ethnocomplex here to attract tourists,” Baizakov added.
