In the "Our People Abroad" section, we will tell you about Kubanychbek Adylov, who has settled in Poland.

Kubanychbek was born in 1998 in the Kochkor district of the Naryn region. Today he lives in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, where he works in the food and goods delivery sector, fulfilling orders online. His wife, Saltanat, is involved in the production of lavash — unleavened flatbreads.

“My father was passionate about music and played the guitar, so in my childhood he enrolled me in a music school. Later, I graduated from the Muratala Kureneev Secondary School and entered the Kalyi Moldobasanov Conservatory. Unfortunately, in my fourth year, I had to take an academic leave. I am very grateful to my teacher Akyl. While studying at Kureneev, I started working as a teacher in state music schools, and I already have 8 years of experience. I also performed at various events,” Kubanychbek shared.

He is the middle child of three brothers. After working in Kyrgyzstan and saving money for housing, Kubanychbek decided to leave the country in search of higher salaries. Before his departure, his parents helped him marry his then-girlfriend. Less than three months after the wedding, the newlyweds arrived in Warsaw, aiming to acquire their own home or at least a plot of land.

“The Polish language differs from Russian by only 5-10%. I like that people here do not live by the principle of 'what will others think,' and because of this, they do not age early,” he noted.

The climate in Poland is characterized by rapid changes: it can snow, and ten minutes later, the sun is shining. According to him, the climate is reminiscent of Kyrgyzstan's: in autumn, winter, and spring, there are often cloudy days. The economic situation in Poland is significantly better than in Kyrgyzstan; however, many Poles also work abroad because housing prices here are high. They often travel to countries like the Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

“I believe that the main difference from Kyrgyzstan is the mentality of the people: they do not get hung up on unnecessary things and act consistently,” Kubanychbek added.

He is not very fond of the nature of Poland: there are many fields and forests, but few mountains. The streets of the city are clean because the residents do not litter, which is instilled in them by the authorities. “As my father used to say: 'They live within limits.' For example, we can spontaneously go to Issyk-Kul, but here everything is discussed in advance; no one does anything without a plan,” he shared.

Kubanychbek noted that he and his wife have been deceived out of money more than once.

“We were promised jobs in the Netherlands and were charged 1000 euros for document processing, after which they simply disappeared. We changed jobs many times, sometimes quarreling with employers. We were often fired, being told that we were no longer needed. While packing our things, we were looking for a new place to work,” he recounted.

Kubanychbek's father works as a plumber, and his mother is a seamstress and restorer. His older brother is an actor and musician, Kubanychbek himself is a musician and guitarist, and his younger brother is studying to be a financier and works in a bank. His wife is also from Naryn, from the village of Ak-Kiya. The couple currently has no children.

Kubanychbek added that there are not many Kyrgyz in Poland.

“Kyrgyz here are different from each other: if you meet someone on the street and greet them, they are reluctant to shake hands. That’s why many do not communicate with each other. When you suggest meeting up, they show no interest — everyone is busy with work. If you spend a long time only going between home and work, it becomes tiring. At such moments, you want more communication with fellow countrymen,” he summarized.

As for future plans, Kubanychbek reminded about his goals: “I hope to buy a house and a car, as well as engage in something beneficial for our people.”
