In anticipation of Vladimir Putin's visit to New Delhi, Indian artist Manas Kumar created a unique sand portrait. The stages of the work were shown on the India Today channel.

According to RIA Novosti, the two-day state visit of the Russian president will begin on Thursday. During the trip, Putin and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will discuss key issues of bilateral relations and the current international agenda.

Preparations for Putin's arrival are taking place in many parts of India. In particular, a special ritual with hymn singing and mantra recitation was organized in Varanasi, and in Amritsar, an artist created a portrait of the President of the Russian Federation using acrylic paints.

On the main avenue of Delhi, Kartavya Path, near the Hyderabad House, which is traditionally used for state receptions, flags of Russia and India have already been installed. Additionally, the Russian tricolor is flying against the backdrop of the famous monument "India Gate."
