Cold temperatures will gradually begin to decrease across the country until February 3.
According to meteorologists, cloudy weather is expected in the eastern aimags on January 30, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. In the mountainous areas of Khentii and the plains of Dornod-Darhangan, light snow may occur. In other regions, variable cloudiness will be observed without precipitation. Snow is not forecasted during the day.
In the eastern part of the country, the wind will blow from the northwest, while in other areas, the wind will be from the west, reaching speeds of 4-9 meters per second. In the steppes of Dornod-Darhangan, the wind may strengthen to 12-14 meters per second.
Clear weather with a light breeze is expected in the vicinity of Ulaanbaatar. At night in the Yaarmag-Songino area, temperatures will drop to -29–31°C, in other regions to -21–23°C, while during the day, temperatures will be -10–12°C.
