Two US military ships collided in the Caribbean Sea

According to the Southern Command, the incident occurred during a naval refueling operation, during which the destroyer Truxtun collided with the supply ship Supply. As a result of the collision, two people sustained minor injuries, and their condition is currently stable.

Both vessels were able to continue their journey after the incident, which took place off the coast of South America.

The causes of the collision have not yet been disclosed, and the Southern Command has initiated an investigation into the incident.

It is worth noting that in recent months, the administration of US President Donald Trump has decided to increase military power in the Caribbean region as part of an operation against illegal drug trafficking. Additionally, the US has used its military presence to enforce sanctions against Venezuelan oil following the takeover of President Nicolás Maduro in January.
