A blackout occurred in Almaty, affecting 10 microdistricts, leaving residents without electricity for more than a day. This was reported by local media, citing information from citizens.
Social media users share that their homes have become noticeably colder, as the power outage also led to a heating shutdown. Additionally, the operations of commercial establishments were completely paralyzed.
Representatives of the joint-stock company "Alatau Zharyk Kompanyasy" reported that restoration work is currently underway on the damaged line. After the earthworks are completed, specialists will begin replacing and restoring the damaged sections.
By midnight on November 14, energy workers successfully restored one of the lines, allowing electricity to be returned to some consumers. On that day, power was supplied to the microdistricts of Sayaly, Akbulak, Zerdeli, as well as to the residential complexes "Sofia," "Arena Park," and partially to the residential complexes "AkKent" and "Daraboz."
According to official data, emergency shutdowns occurred at CHPP-2 on the evening of November 13, affecting 110-kilovolt power transmission lines No. 124A and No. 101A. As a result, the substations PS-162A "Algabas," PS-169A "Akbulak," and PS-123A "ATEC-2" were temporarily de-energized.
