The press service of the city hall reported that the municipal enterprise "Bishkekvodokanal" will begin a phased resumption of water supply to the affected areas.
The repair work was initiated after the cause of the damage was identified, and the employees of "Bishkekvodokanal" worked at the scene all night.
The incident occurred on the night of November 13 due to the actions of a private company, the name of which the city hall has not disclosed, leading to damage to the water pipeline. As a result, the water supply was temporarily suspended in microdistricts 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, South-7, the Youth Quarter, as well as in the private sector below microdistricts 3 and 4, on Abay and Maldybaev streets (above Akhunbaev street), and also in the Oncology Center and the Republican Center for Psychiatry and Narcology. In microdistrict 10, there was also a decrease in water pressure.
The city hall noted that the company responsible for the incident will bear all costs associated with eliminating the consequences of the accident, and the materials of the case have been forwarded to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
