Renowned art historian and leading researcher at the Museum of Fine Arts, Aina Moldokhmatova, will share her knowledge about Kyrgyz art of the 1940s and 50s.
She noted that during this time, outstanding works of art in various genres were created, vividly reflecting the joy of peaceful life after the war.
A feature of this period was the combination of landscape elements and genre scenes, as well as an emphasis on sketch work from nature. Portraits of contemporaries became an important part of the artistic process. At this stage, there is also a development of a more poetic, softer version of socialist realism, which highlights the character of the time, she said while preparing for the exhibition.
Moldokhmatova encourages families to attend the lecture with their children, emphasizing the importance of knowing the history of the art of their country and people, which is the cultural heritage of the nation.
The lecture will take place on November 1, 2025, at 14:00.
