
Today, October 30, 2025, the opening of the exhibition titled "Return to the Roots" will take place at the Gapar Aitiev Museum of Fine Arts. This solo exhibition is dedicated to the work of the artist Boobek Arykov.
Boobek Arykov is a laureate of numerous awards, including the Suimenkul Chokmorov Prize, as well as awards from Chingiz Aitmatov and Abai Kunanbaev. Since 1998, he has held the position of senior lecturer at the I. Razakov Kyrgyz State Technical University and is known as a monumental sculptor, painter, and graphic artist who continues to develop the traditions of modern avant-garde in Kyrgyz visual arts.
The exhibition "Return to the Roots" serves as a homage to the author's roots and heritage. In his works, Arykov conveys respect for the history of his people. His creativity encompasses themes such as ancient writing (runes), monumental stone sculptures, the nature of Kyrgyzstan, as well as contemporary artistic trends in the world.
