According to information provided by the city hall, in July of this year, the foundation of the retaining walls on the eastern side of the river, opposite dormitory No. 4 of KGUSTA, was damaged. This occurred due to the absence of a spillway threshold, which was supposed to reduce the flow velocity.
The emergency section, approximately 83 meters long, was declared as such after an inspection by the civil defense commission. The estimate for the restoration amounted to 4 million soms, and funds were allocated from the local budget. Currently, restoration work is being carried out in this area.
The city hall added that the sidewalk will be restored after all construction work is completed.
