The organizers of the exhibition stated: "We continue to explore the international scene and invite viewers to the heart of Central Asia. By visiting Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, we will showcase contemporary photography that still remains in the shadows, reflecting the Soviet legacy, nomadic culture, and majestic mountain landscapes crossed by endless steppes… The exhibition will feature about forty previously unpublished works by four photographers from these countries in the independent cultural space of the Voltaire consulate, located in a building designed by Eiffel, which once served as an electrical substation."
Kazakhstan is represented by artist Askhat Akhmedyarov, who works in various techniques, including painting, graphics, video, photography, installations, and performances.
Uzbekistan is represented at the exhibition by Ernest Kurtveliev.

Zhorobaev presents a series titled "Mirage of Communism."
He noted: "These are not just photographs, but a reflection of a historical era. My works have become a chronicle of significant social changes occurring in post-Soviet societies. I believe it is important to preserve these testimonies of change as material for the contemplation of future generations. This is my memory and a warning," Zhorobaev commented in an interview with Kaktus.media.
