
On November 29, the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after Gapar Aitiev will host a lecture dedicated to the evolution of sculpture in the Kyrgyz SSR from 1950 to 1990. The speaker of the event will be Aina Moldokmatova, an art historian and member of the Union of Artists of Kyrgyzstan.
The lecture will focus on the outstanding masters of the Soviet era, their unique creative approaches, and their significance for the development of plastic arts in the country. Moldokmatova will share information about the monumental ensembles of Bishkek, monuments to famous figures, as well as decorative sculpture present in the urban environment. In addition, she will discuss easel works that reflect both the official ideals of the time and characteristic portraits of contemporaries.
The lecture is scheduled to begin at 14:00 and will last for one and a half hours. Admission costs: 300 soms for adults, 80 soms for students, and 40 soms for schoolchildren. A ticket to the lecture also provides the opportunity to visit the current exhibitions of the museum.
