Shubin Afanasy Lazarevich
(1926-1967)Graphic artist. Born on February 16, 1926, in the village of Kuyacha, Altai Krai. Lived in Frunze since 1946. Graduated from the Frunze Art College in 1954.
Since 1965, he was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
He combined creative work with sports, engaging in mountaineering. This defined the themes of most of his works. A. Shubin worked in the techniques of linocut, watercolor, pastel, and drawing. The best works of A. Shubin are housed in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev.
