Kuzovkin Evgeny Gennadievich
(1937-1991)Graphic artist. Born on May 2, 1937, at the Voskresensk station in the Moscow region of the RSFSR.
In 1963, he graduated from the pedagogical department of the Kazan Art School.
He worked primarily in printmaking, achieving great flexibility and expressiveness in this technique. The early works of the artist are characterized by a fragile poetic mood. In the 1960s and 70s, Evgeny Kuzovkin's graphic style became more masculine, decisive, and concise. He created significant series in terms of theme and imagery, reflecting important aspects of Kyrgyz history and reality. The artist successfully explored themes of the Great Patriotic War, the life of Soviet militia, sports, and everyday life of the people. He participated in republican, nationwide, and international exhibitions. His works are held in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Museum of the Peoples of the East (Moscow), and in museums of the CIS.
Since 1969, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Awarded the silver medal of VDNH USSR.
