Prose Writer Anatoly Salkinov

From 1946, after graduating from the school for working youth, he studied at the oil technical school, and from 1949 to 1954 — at the A. M. Gorky Literary Institute under the USSR Writers' Union in Moscow.
He began his labor biography in 1941 as a locksmith in the oil fields of Central Asia. From 1945 to 1946, he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army. Since 1946, he has been collaborating with the newspaper "Pravda of Southern Kazakhstan".
In 1954, he was sent to Frunze as a literary consultant to the board of the Writers' Union of Kyrgyzstan, then he served as the chief editor of the magazine "Literary Kyrgyzstan", deputy head of the Publishing Department of the State Publishing House of the Kyrgyz SSR, deputy chief editor of the "Kyrgyzstan" publishing house, a member of the combined repertoire and editorial board of the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR, and from 1974 to 1986 — again a literary consultant to the board of the Writers' Union of Kyrgyzstan.
Since 1986, he has been retired.
He has been published since 1948. In 1956, the first book of the novel-duology "Golden Depths" was published, and in 1958 — the second book. In his main works, the writer reflected the formation of the working class in southern Kyrgyzstan. His novel "The Treasure" was published in 1985 in the Kyrgyz language. He has translated works by K. Kaimov, K. Bektenov, S. Sasykbajev, M. Abdukarimov, and others into Russian.
Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR (1976).
Member of the CPSU since 1952, member of the USSR Writers' Union since 1956.
Awarded medals "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945", "For Labor Distinction", "For Valorous Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of V.I. Lenin's Birth", and Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
