In Karakol, Darika Asanalieva came to the polling station accompanied by her husband and grandson to fulfill her civic duty.

According to her, her husband, Ishenbek Koilubaev, brought their grandson along so he could also see the voting process.

The couple, married for 47 years, raised two daughters and two sons. They had previously come to vote with their children regularly, and this time they decided to take their grandson with them.

“I tell my grandson about what life and the future should be like. Much depends on how Kyrgyzstan will develop, and I want him to be on par with other countries. Along the way, I shared my dreams with him. He asked, ‘Can I go with you?’ — ‘Of course, let’s go, see for yourself,’” shared 68-year-old D. Asanalieva.

Her 12-year-old grandson, Alihan Ishenbekov, also expressed his intention to vote when he grows up.
