Within the walls of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin, a unique theatrical performance took place. The artists of the social youth theater "Premiera" from Rostov-on-Don performed Anton Chekhov's comedy "The Bear".

This performance was part of a tour program called "Time C (reading Chekhov)", which also involved actors from the Youth Slavic Theater of KRSU.

The director of the project "Difficult Theater. Premiere," Svetlana Pakhomova, noted that the realization of this theatrical idea was a true challenge, as the play was staged in just one day.

- We are the first social theater in Russia, and for the past 10 years, we have been striving to make theater accessible to everyone: schoolchildren, students, and youth. This time we decided to take a risk and stage Chekhov in one day, joining forces with the guys from Kyrgyzstan. In this short time, they managed to grasp Chekhov more deeply than many do in months, - emphasized Pakhomova.

According to her, "The Bear" touches on complex and mature relationships, where tragedy and comedy intertwine.

- This performance is about feelings that combine bitterness and humor. If the young actors were able to convey this palette of emotions, then we have succeeded, - added the director.

Arseniy, one of the actors from the "Difficult Theater," shared that participating in the theater has become an opportunity for him to change his life.

- I joined the difficult theater three years ago and gradually began to step onto the stage. The theater helped me leave an unfavorable social environment, engage in creativity, and find a new circle of communication. This trip is my first international experience. Bishkek is incredibly beautiful, and working with the local guys is a pure pleasure. Everything goes smoothly and interestingly, - he said.

KRSU emphasizes the importance of such projects for youth. Galina Ketova, head of the extracurricular activities department and a honored artist of Kyrgyzstan, noted that theater can provide support for adolescents.

- Adolescence is a time of questions about oneself and the surrounding world. Unfortunately, many young people face difficult situations. Theater serves as a powerful tool: it helps distract from negativity, express emotions, strengthen self-confidence, and learn to interact with others and literature, - added Ketova.

At the end of the event, the young actors presented a new project — a literary media competition called "Reader."
