The Memorandum of "Friendship and Cooperation" was signed between the rural administrations of Karkyra from the Tyup district of the Issyk-Kul region and Shumkar-Uya from the Talas district.

As part of this agreement, a delegation from Shumkar-Uya visited Karkyra to familiarize themselves with the work of the local rural administration.

The ceremony to welcome the deputies of the local council of Shumkar-Uya and representatives of state and municipal institutions took place at the Tyup district state administration, where the achievements and socio-economic successes of Karkyra were presented.

The guests were greeted by local residents and cultural workers at the "Karkyra" stele upon their arrival for an experience exchange.

"It is important to note that the international road Tyup—Kegen, part of the Great Silk Road, passes through our rural area. We have created a special facility at the entrance to the region that connects 11 villages to provide tourists with the opportunity to stop, take photos, and rest," said Rustam Cherikbaev, head of the Karkyra rural administration.

Next, the delegation headed to the municipal enterprise "Birimdik" in the village of Taldy-Suu, where the operation of the technical base was demonstrated.

The guests from the Talas region also familiarized themselves with the activities of local manufacturing enterprises and the overall infrastructure of Karkyra, including social facilities.

Bakyt Kydyraiev, head of the Shumkar-Uya rural administration, characterized Karkyra as an exemplary region.

"Construction work in Karkyra is carried out at a high level. While in other places the work is visible to the eyes of one person, here it is visible to the eyes of the entire community. We saw how playgrounds are being built, roads are being laid, and water supply issues are being resolved. This is impressive," added B. Kydyraiev.

During the visit, the possibilities for developing the Karkyra ski base and tourism were also assessed, including recreation areas on the pasture of Chaar-Kuduk.

Rustam Cherikbaev emphasized that the goal of the meeting was achieved.

"Our colleagues from Shumkar-Uya got acquainted with the infrastructure, social facilities, and the work of manufacturing enterprises. They also saw the construction of the ski base in action and our successes in attracting tourists year-round. We plan a reciprocal visit to the Talas region so that our colleagues can familiarize themselves with the work of the Shumkar-Uya rural administration. Friendship and cooperation are the key goals of our exchange," he concluded.
