Qanot Sharq became the first operator of ultra-long-range aircraft in the CIS
The airline from Uzbekistan, Qanot Sharq, has become the first operator in Central Asia and the CIS to take into operation ultra-long-range Airbus A321XLR aircraft.
The new Airbus A321XLR model is the first representative of this modification received by the airline, confirmed the European manufacturer.

The first of four A321-200neo XLR aircraft was taken on long-term lease from the American company Air Lease.

The range of this model is 8,700 kilometers, which exceeds the LR version by 1,300 kilometers and the base A321neo model by 2,300 kilometers.

The aircraft is equipped with CFM LEAP-1A engines and has a two-class configuration, allowing it to accommodate up to 190 passengers — 16 of whom can comfortably sit in business class, and 174 in economy class.

With these aircraft, Qanot Sharq plans to launch long-haul flights lasting up to nine hours.
