Doctors reported how many children were born in Kyrgyzstan on New Year's Eve.

In Kyrgyzstan, on New Year's Eve, from December 31, 2025, to January 1, 2026, a total of 365 births were recorded, including four cases of twins, according to a report from the press service of the Ministry of Health.

The highest number of twins was born at the Jalal-Abad Interregional Combined Clinical Hospital — two pairs, as well as one set of twins at the Bishkek City Perinatal Center and another at the maternity hospital in the city of Osh.

According to operational information, a total of 177 boys and 190 girls were born within 24 hours, from 8:00 AM on December 31 to 8:00 AM on January 1. During this period, nine cesarean sections were also performed.

In the first ten minutes of the new year, from 00:00 to 00:10, 11 newborns were born: six boys and five girls. The firstborn of 2026 was a girl weighing 3.915 kilograms, born at the Issyk-Ata Center for General Medical Practice exactly at midnight.

The highest number of births was registered in the Jalal-Abad region (81), followed by Bishkek (69) and the Osh region (68).
