In the first 10 months of 2025, 27 cases of school extortion were recorded in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Of this number, 17 incidents occurred in the Jalal-Abad region, all linked to the actions of one minor who regularly engaged in extortion. A criminal case has already been initiated against this individual, and appropriate measures have been taken.
In comparison, in 2024, only eight cases of extortion among students were registered in the republic, while in 2023, there were six.
Currently, about 3,000 teenagers are on preventive registration.
