In the capital city's perinatal center (GPC), 9,084 births and 9,128 newborns were registered in the first ten months of 2025, including 118 pairs of twins and 750 premature children.

According to information from the Ministry of Health's press service, 950 infants went through the intensive care unit, and the mortality rate was only 2.1%.

In the newborn pathology department, 935 children were admitted, of which 64 were transferred from other maternity hospitals. After receiving the necessary medical care, 924 children were discharged home.

The city perinatal center occupies one of the leading positions among second-level institutions, offering high-quality care for pregnant women with physiological, premature, and complicated births, as well as for newborns, including sick and premature children weighing from 500 grams.

To care for such infants, the center has created all the necessary conditions: a modern intensive care unit with 18 beds, equipped with artificial ventilation machines, CPAP systems, incubators, and resuscitation equipment, as well as a second-stage care unit.
