According to information provided by the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, from December 15 to 21, Kyrgyzstan registered 22,192 cases of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza. 24.kg reports that this number is significantly lower than the previous week, when 37,600 cases were recorded, indicating a decrease in morbidity by 1.7 times.

Of the total number of patients, 68.2% are children under 14 years old.

As of December 22, 44 schools across the country have switched to distance learning, including seven educational institutions in Bishkek and 37 in the Chui region.
Decisions to transition to online learning are made based on the number of sick children in each specific educational institution.
